I wanted to make a little something to add to a bigger gift for a friend, and at the last minute decided on a set of monogrammed hankies. The idea of these make me laugh a little, but mostly I think the old-school daintiness of them is cool. I used some very fine white linen and this Alexander Henry print, which is a soft, fine cotton. I thought about embroidering around the edges, too, (maybe like these great ones) but in the end just hemmed them simply with the sewing machine.
I love making and wrapping presents, and am hoping to be able to make a few to give at Christmas. In an attempt to be more organised this year, I've decided to try to make one each week and feature it on here in the hope that it will give you possible ideas, too. Perhaps on Thursdays, up until Christmas arrives.
