I love weeds. I always look out for them on my travels, and can so far say that there are standard varieties that seem to grow along most European roadsides, like the jewellery of the motorway. On our recent trip to the Mediterranean, we spent a day driving through Croatia and inbetween bribing the children with food and promises of the next playground, I stitched this little homage to Croatian wildflowers.
There's dandelion, something I don't know the name of, a kind of brown grass, and (I think) Queen Anne's Lace.
