Arlo has been showing an interest in my blog lately, and felt concerned that I wasn't posting as many kid's activities as I could have been. So he asked me to let him do a post and this is it: Story Box.
'Here's something you can make if you find a small box in your house. You will need some felt-tip pens in different colours. Choose a story or make up your own and draw a scene from the story inside the box. Here I have drawn Little Red Riding Hood going to visit her grandma in the woods. That's the wolf who wants to eat her up. Maybe you could give someone a present inside the box, and when the box is empty they will find the story drawing. '
So there you go.
In other news:
- I am honoured to be one of Sew, Mama, Sew's newest Board Members- in August I will be contributing to their 'handsewing month'- I'm looking forward to it.
- Margie is holding a silent auction for one of the beautiful poetry stones she made as part of a collaboration with Cathy Cullis. You can read more about the auction here- the money will go towards autism research and treatment.
Have a great weekend!
