Spring_flowers

The first flowers we've seen in what feels like a long time.

Storytime

Capturing Keira reading her favourite story to Pinky without her knowing.

Finishing this little smock (from 'Bend the Rules Sewing') for a friend turning one today. I'm thinking it will fit her next spring, or when she's ready to start painting, maybe.

ps. i know i havent commented in a looong time but i have still been here reading every post and enjoying your adventure.

The picture of Keira is so cute! Her little legs crossed at the ankles, Pinky in her lap, with the book resting on his? her? tummy - and the wonderful expression on Keira's face - precious!

Keira looks so pleased with herself! Great photo...wonderful smock too!

oh melissa i love that fabric. and keira is priceless in that picture!

Great smock! I love the picture of your daughter reading to her toy! Way cool that you captured it!

I only read that to my boys the other night- from the original copy I had as a child.
Lovely smock- I think I need to make an adult version of that.

Oooh is that The Tiger Who Came to Tea that she is reading? I used to love that story! The smock is lovely.

I love that book!! but not as much as Where the Wild Things Are, or The Very Hungry Caterpillar...

Sweet little Keira, she sits like a ballet dancer, with her back wonderfully straight and her feet crossed, lovely to see Pinky again too.

Not only are the flowers tonic for the soul, but so's that drawing behind them. :D

The picture of your daughter reading to her doll is just priceless!!

Oh, dear god, so cute! :) (The drawing, the child, and the smock!)

Lovely picture of Keira! Gorgeous smock, that one's on my list of things to make.

Is that the Tiger Who Came to Tea - I read that to my boys back in the 70s - I also have the original tattered version - and my grandchildren love it just as much ! Your little girl is just darling !

Love Keira's "headband" ;)

Oh that smock is wonderful. I love the colours. The Tiger Who Came to Tea was my favourite book when I was little too ;)

what more can be said, she's a little doll. that photo is classic and I won't be surprised if it turns up at her 21st :)

good on you keeping things colourful.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea is my favourite children's book ever. I can recite it from memory. Not a very useful skill, but there nonetheless.

Lovely photo and memory you've captured.

Such a lovely photograph of Keira

That picture of Keira reading is so cute! The smock is lovely. I love that fabric.

i like that picture of Keira reading without her knowing! and the smock is lovely! i ought to try that!

"Pinky, Pinky are you listening? You need to pay attention."

What a doll!

That photo of Keira is adorable. That smock is lovely too.

I love her little toes, pointed in concentration.

My boys can recite The Tiger Who Came to Tea from memory. As can I, I believe.
