a crafty meet-up
I was lucky enough to meet up with my long-time blog friend Alison yesterday, during her visit to my town. I was a bit nervous at the start, but partway through my glass of sauvignon blanc I calmed down and we had a wonderful chat about emigrating, life in NZ, craft and blogging. Thank you for the gorgeous brooch, A.

Oh Gosh - lucky you two! You are both amongst my favourite bloggers - I would love to have been a fly on the wall (so to speak).

Meeting blog friends for the first time can be a little nerve-racking, but doing so ranks among the highlights of my year. Glad to hear that that everything went well.

It sounds like a perfect chit-chat blog date. A treat too to be able to have and finish a long conversation. Mostly, I think we are content to leave snippets of sentences behind us while we surf blogland.

That brooch is so lovely. You're very lucky to have a crafty friend who would bring a crafty gift. With my friends I am the crafty one that brings the crafty gifts!

I've just returned from my first baby shower! & your little shoes were a HUGE hit, lots of ooohhhh & aaahhhhing & then a cry "look they are reversable too" Thank you so much for providing such gorgeous, well made, unique gifts, they certainly stood out from all the baby Gap stuff!

Hello from Norway!
I am an American transplanted here about 16 years ago originally from the US. Merulli from Finland tipped me off about your expected arrival in January. The funny thing is that I have seen your blog a couple of times in just the past few days and even saw the journals your kids were doing with Norway written on them. I was curious, but also being mother of 2 and always short on time I didn't persue it too long. My time surfing is limited so I usually just look at the pictures and read little snippets of text here and there. Your blog is delightfully filled with treats for my eyes which seem to have an insatiable hunger for beautiful handmade things.
In any case, write to me and let me know where in Norway you will be moving! I look forward to hearing from you!
Warmly, Emily
