That's great news - NZ is much more compassionate to refugees than Australia. Which is good news, because if we don't get a change of government at the next election, I'll be coming over as a political refugee!

Quatrefoil, I'm with you. I've already announced to my husband we're moving to NZ if the evil empire gets another term in government. Meanwhile, Melissa, coming to check out your country next March for a family holiday, if all goes according to plan.....

YES! and did you know that Lies was part of that? she went to europe and malaysiua with his lawyer and helped translate documents from french to english. (Once upon a time Lies was a lawyer in belguim) I am so proud of her and proud of this country for making the right decision.

this is wonderful news... thank you for sharing it! it was really inspiring in the legal studies to see the photo of him with his lawyer too :)
