Stones

I had no idea there were so many lurkers out there- thank you for saying hello after my last post. I am seriously overwhelmed, and overjoyed to 'meet' you.

How amazing to feel that i have friends all over the country, the world, and even some in my home town that I didn't know about. I really love that you left me a message. And thank you for reading, and being here. I haven't mentioned it yet on this blog, but my little family and I are up for a big change at the end of the year. And being the kind of person who holds the idea of 'home' close to her heart, almost possesively, this impending change, while exciting, is not something I'm feeling entirely enthusiastic about. But I know it's going to be okay. And I think my changing view of the world, through this and other blogs, has a lot to do with it.

Sorry to be mysterious about that- more details will come soon. But now... the winners of my wee draw. Umm, I decided not to write all the names out after all- instead, a random number generator thingy did the job. The two people are... Gina (no blog given) and Kimberley - both locals! (I counted everyone in the draw- and was fully expecting to send the parcels overseas.) So there you have it. Such fun- I'll be doing that again soon, for sure.

The impending change sounds exciting. I'm sure you'll enjoy the process, somehow. :)

Excellent - it will be life changing in many ways. Maybe I can visit you while you're there (depending on where it is)

... oh dear I am too late to de-lurk? Was a little busy and finally got a chance to get back to the blog/internet world.

I found your blog while looking for handbag patterns too, I love it. I make it for my family and friends.. thank you!

I try to read your blog quite often and get sad if I miss it... I love your baby booties, if only I had little ones!

I'm an Australian, living in Vancouver, Canada and miss down under, so you help me connect to that side of the world. (Even though you live in NZ) Thank you, Melissa, thank you!

these photos are lovely, this place looks so peaceful and calming. I have a thing for pebbles/rocks and beaches.

alright melissa the suspense is going to kill me. a store? a new babe? a move? a new babe?

change is good! i love change... i rearrange my furniture and wall art constantly! and my hairstyle! good luck and keep blogging because you started me blogging! hugs and kisses for your little ones!

I started my first recycled fashion today with an existing garment and I am so excited! Your booties inspired me to learn more about that art and I must say I love breathing new life into "old" things.

beautiful photos

Loving that top river and riverstones photo and the faint outline of your shadows. Lurkfest07 was fun wasn't it??!! :)

I am sure your gifts will be in good hands... as to changes, your blog will always be "home" for sure;)

Hi Melissa
I hardly every write a comment but am almost always checking up on whats going on. Wasnt that de-lerk amazing!
Love the photos of cable bay. Change is good isnt it, but ofcourse it is always a bit stink for those who arent changing, so to speak... but that is wonderful thing about this blog!

lots of love,

We have a huge change coming up next year (well, two if you include getting married, which, to be honest, is not so much a change as slipping into legality!), so I am right there with you, love. While exciting, these things are awfully daunting at the same time.

Hiya, waited until your next post because I always feel silly de-lurking w/ a prize up for grabs. I found your site ages ago and just never commented- I'm a baaad blogger!!

hi melissa... it is me -formerly sarah conly but now with my new last name sarah stratton!

i feel it is finally time for me to un-lurk too. i have been reading your blog since i met up with you at craftwerk at the cross and it has, in fact, inspired me to start up a blog of my own. it is only in its very early stages though- but i hope it can grow up to be as excellent as yours one day!

i love seeing your photos and catching up with whats happening down in nelson, although that looks like it might be changing -how exciting/scary!

i am not at all surprised at the number of fans you have! all your wee products are absolutely gorgeous, and you are obviously very inspirational to many people all over the world (including me). i think its fair to say that you are generally amazing!

anyway id better not write a novel... and my cupcakes need taking out of the oven!

sarah xoxo

hey melissa:
is the change something we discussed earlier? if so, i am going to be just a little bit envious but gloriously happy for you. either way, of course, i will be absolutely excited for you. now i am going to have to turn on my computer more to read your blog for updates. (i've been taking a break) hope you guys are well. happy early spring! xo

*I* think it is a book :o)
or a new baby...hmmmm...or a move.
well, guess that makes me of really no idea of what it is huh? LOL!

Lovely pictures!
what fun you had on that giveaway!

What a pretty picture. :o)
I meant to leave a comment on your last post. I read your blog often but don't leave comments often.

Congratulation's Gina and Kimberley!

Any change can be stressful. Just keep that in mind and don't worry too much about it; it's normal. That said, I'm sure you'll do just fine.

The top photo is marvelous. Wouldn't it make a terrific quilt or knitted blanket? I'm going to have to try and do it. I just love the colors and the progression of detail.

Jeepers - thank you. I wasn't expecting that. You've given me so much already! They will go straight into my Tiny cupboard...

isn't it amazing to make so many friends just by writing about what you love most, and finding that they love it most, too?
and good luck on the changes forthcoming in your tiny happy world. :)

How exciting, I didn't even realise that there was a draw! I love the shoes, have coveted your beautiful shoes since first i stumbled across the site. And I have a baby girl (9 weeks today - let's hope the dress i am knitting is finished in time to fit her, I'm doing the 3-6 month size), so they will look sweet for her feet

oops, re-read my post, and how greedy it sounds (I blame the shoes)! If Kimberly has already requested the shoes, kei te pai, no problems!

thinking of you with this change my friend... i know you are going to do so well. sending love and strength your way!
and these photos today... love. just love.

Hi Melissa
Love the photos - I love pebbles and that water looks so inviting - a nice cool dip! Thanks for adding me to your sidebar! Just wish I had more time to add to the blog but hope to do a post tomorrow!

I hope that whatever the upcoming changes happen to be, that it will be good and wonderful for your little family! :)

I am a bit disappointed that I missed your little drawing while I was away, but how neat that a bunch of people delurked and you got to see more of who reads your blog!
