four things
a) waiting for my parents to return home from their 6-week trip to Europe in an hour or so,
b) rejoicing at the discovery of this website, full of cooking ideas,
c) admiring this old linen table cloth I found at the Sunday Market, and wondering whether I can handle watching the children spill food and paint on it,
d) planning to make lemon curd this afternoon. Just because.

nice bullet point style post. That food link made me really hungry, is it lunch time yet?

Love the tablecloth. I have taught Jack to remove my tablecloths when he sits down to the table. Sure he tosses them onto the floor in a wad, but, hey, at least he doesn't eat on them, right?
(The other sort of horrible alternative is to put a piece of clear vinyl over them. I did that for awhile, but the darn cats tore the vinyl.)

Your blue bowl with lemons is very like my blue bowl with lemons - I've always thought it was a lovely colour combination!

Wow how exciting that your parents are coming home! My grandparents have a round table that has a peice of glass over a veletty tablecloth. Would protect the tablecloth and tabletop! It's quite heavey so not easy to pull off. That website looks good too- will be great for summer!

:) Pretty tablecloth. I was just admiring an aunt's yesterday and she had a glass just the size of the dining table to protect the cloth. Somehow I "inspected" subconsciously, the skirting and expected to see some stain. There isn't. I wonder if tablecloth will work in my family...
