a walk in the woods

I love the contrast of our native plants with the introduced trees and shrubs at this time of year- they make a beautiful display in the park:

I updated my etsy shop today with some new work: 'a walk in the woods' set. It's lovely to be able to stock my little shop up all at once, and i've always liked doing things in 'sets.' I didn't manage to finish the batch of children's cords I was working on, but hope to do that over the next week.

Here are a few of the things I've been making...

And in other news, I felt it was high time we had some lemon curd on toast for morning tea. I had a bowl of lemons, eggs in the fridge and two willing 'stirrers' and an hour or so later...

Lemoncurd

(Dad, there is a jar waiting here for you, especially if you bring us more lemons)

I wrote about making this last year, (I can't believe it was a year ago already!) so if you feel like making some too, my version is here.  Think I'll go and make some toast right now, actually...

Wow, my mouth is watering. That lemon curd looks so lovely! I plan on printing out your recipe and giving it a go. Oh, and the contrast in colors of nature in your neck of the woods right now is wonderful. I love to see the warms of golds and reds against the cooler greens and blues, just inspiring. Hope you continue to have a blessed week and continue creating. Peace.

I adore lemon curd, your walk in the woods looks heavenly.

I'm amused by your leafy bag - it's the same fabric as my quilt cover and pillowcases!

I've always wondered what lemon curd was. It sounds wonderful and I will be making some this weekend. Ooooo. Think I'll try the lime.

The little boots are just adorable. Love the acorns!

If only my feet were small enough to fit those shoes!

What I really love about your designs is that they are so seasonal. Spring, summer, autumn and winter much really inspire you.

yes, I ahve really enjoyed your leafy posts the past few days. delightful.

I love those brooches too (along with every other thing you make).

those sweet little hands get me everytime :)

xx

I've loved the tree week and your walk in the park things are just lovely.

You're always an inspiration, m'dear!

You sure work hard. Lovely stuff, as always, and I never thought I would say that about an acorn bag. V. cute.

Acorn gorgeousness - real and embroidered! The tree snail shoes on your etsy shop are so cute. I'm starting to reconsider this farmer marrying business just so I can have farm babies and buy your stuff.

You're doing so well on etsy - congrats :)

oh yum, I love lemon curd. Now I'll have to make some. My sister and I have been known to dispense with the toast and just eat it straight.

That leafy bag is gorgeous! Love the pictures from the park too:)

Oooh.. hurrah for acorns.. and nature cameos.. such a clever thing! xx pip

Beautiful nature shots.

Those acorn shoes are just adorable. It's all adorable!

I just found your blog and I'm greatly enjoying it.

We've had some similar storms in Sydney of late. On visiting our holiday spot along the Hawkesbury River we discovered our Wild Bush Lemon tree had blown over after the storms.
So we picked all the final lemons and I was trying to decide what to do with them.
I decided to use your lemon curd (lemon butter) recipe, it turned out great!
I needed to add a bit more sugar due to the more bitter flavour of the bush lemons, but lovely recipe!

oh m, i LOVE all of the new pieces. the embroidery is just perfect and those brooches! so good. seeing this is making me wish for autumn to hurry up over here.
and the lemon curd looks delish. hope you enjoyed it :)
