stormy weather
We woke up this morning to some proper stormy weather- thunder, wind and torrential rain. Tom lit the fire and all was cosy, until I realised I had to go out and make an early-morning trip to the supermarket for bread.
It rained so hard this morning, in fact, that Tom's school sent all their students home, due to flooding. It was nice to have him home for lunch, and I even got a bit of work finished for my etsy shop.
a little batch of children's scarves, like this one:
and some new baby shoes, from yesterday's embroidered linen... luckily there was just enough sun to wash and dry that before the storm started.
Hope you're having a warm and dry Wednesday...

Oh dear M! So sweet, so sweet! Scarves and shoes!
You are very clever and this post is making me itch to make something that isn't words on a screen.

The rain skipped this side of the country- but we got the warm nor'wester that always graces us when it's raining on the coast, so I got my washing dry too! Glad you could make the most of the inside time, it will be nice to get a few days like that as winter draws nearer.

Yes, you ARE very clever. Linen one day, shoes the next. They are all so lovely.
We're pretty soggy and cold up here too. I'm looking forward to a lazy evening with a book (I'll deal with the gulity lazy feelings tomorrow).

Ooh, don't get swept away by the floodwaters! Hot and sunny here, but it'll cloud over later; it always does.
The little shoes and scarves are so so cute and lovely. If only you did grown-up versions :)

the shoes and scarves are adorable - I'm itching to buy the flower garden shoes, but still don't know sex of "babies to come" - eek! Also the pink scarf... You are amazingly prolific, and f-a-s-t! Cx
