trees currently in my heart.
my latest barkcloth find (a present from Tom) - 2 small vintage curtains, black barkcloth with silverbirches...
...a piece of fabric I found this week at the Recycling Centre- deciduous trees and birds looking for a place to perch.
Am I brave enough to cut into these beauties?
It's sunny today; the walnuts on our backyard tree are slowly ripening...

oh i love trees...they are a beautiful thing! last week ours were encased in ice...they looked like jewels. beautiful!

I love birch trees.
Those fabrics are lovely. I'd be afraid to cut into them too.
Actually, a lot of my projects get delayed because I'm afraid to cut the fabric.

Hi Meliss!
I thought it was high time that I write a comment, seeing as I have been enjoying reading what you've been up to via your lovely blog.=)
I love the new look on the chair, and has enspired be to to the same with my kerosene-chair (the white one) but also because I keep on getting a nail prodding into my bum whenever I sit down! Not a good feeling.
I really loved reading about your 'Weird' things, they were very funny, but also quite odd considering that i share very similar things to you! (maybe except the cold feet thing and the naming of mugs!) Sarah and I were just talking the other night about the empathy we had/have with discarded gladwrap. etc.. Sisters eh!
Anyway I hear that Arlo and Mae have had a lovely time down the bay! Lucky things. There are so sweet together too.=)
THe marmalade looks so great! Maybe we could do a swap because the other day I turned 4 kgs of blackcurrents (free!!! PYO in L. Moutre) into 15 jars of jam!!
Anyway, and hoping to see you soon
Keep up the lovely pictures and blogging=)

The fabrics are gorgeous, what will you make with them? Or will you just keep them to look at? I probably would.

You have a walnut tree at the back of your home? Wow! Beautiful fabric you have there! :-)

I love the photos of your walnut tree, so nice and summery. I hope it gets hot enough there to want to sit under it! The fabric trees with no leaves are beautiful; they all look like that here at the moment and I've got a bit carried away taking millions of branches and sky pictures on our camera!

I have fabric and button envy of you my friend. :o)
My favorite of the trees is the one with the birds...dare I say it could be cut with a single tree for different projects.
Great finds!!

I honestly don't think that I could bear to cut into these especially the tree piece...these two are "keepers"!
